Janelle Elise is a Regional Partnerships Manager at PLAYWORKS, based in Oakland, California, where she focuses on building meaningful partnerships that support youth development and community impact.
As a former foster youth, Janelle brings a deeply personal and authentic perspective to her work. Her lived experience fuels her passion for helping educators, leaders, and youth advocates better understand the realities many young people face—and how those experiences shape identity, resilience, and opportunity.
